Live and Local Events at Dronfield Hall Barn

In conjunction with Live and Local, we are pleased to confirm three new performances due to be taking place at the Barn over the coming months. In order of appearance, they are:

Flamenco Alma Gitana

Thursday October 12th 7:30pm

‘Alma Gitana (Gipsy Soul) brings you the passion of flamenco music and dance with an unforgettable show. Four Spanish artists whose connection and power on stage are leaving the audiences in awe – the fantastic guitar of Andres Garcia and the marvelous voice of Javier Moreno, the rhythm and percussion of the cajon by Demi Garcia, and how all feeds the inspiration for the dancing of Lourdes Fernandez, whose captivating movements and highly technical “zapateado” (feet stomping) will leave you holding your breath.’

Uchenna Dance – The Head Wrap Diaries

Friday 10th November 7:30pm in the Peel Centre

‘A great fun, noisy, colourful show which will transform your venue into a hair salon, and fill it with irresistibly funky music. The performance designed for adults and older children and is theatre with lots of movement plus a great soundtrack of sounds from 90’s R&B to traditional Ghanaian pop music. It has already been on tour to great reviews and its bubbly optimism will sweep along the hardest of hearts!’

Old Hat Jazz Band

Friday 23rd February 7:30pm

‘Old Hat Jazz Band plays swinging favourites and rarities from the 1920s and 30s all in the spirit of the day: with youthful vitality and brimming with enthusiasm. Lizy Exell formed the Old Hat in 2012, while she was still a student at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. The Old Hat Jazz Band continues the tradition of crafting wonderful music from tunes which have stood the test of time, swinging their way through favourite pieces featuring some of the finest musical talent London has to offer.’

All three events cost £12 for adults, and £8 for under 16s. Booking is via our events page. Book today to avoid missing out, and remember to stay tuned for more events coming to the Barn very soon!
