Hall Barn Framework – Eckington School Students

Come and see an impressive model of Dronfield Hall Barn’s framework and find out about how it was made from Friday 21st July.

Since 2015, we have been working together with Eckington School and this exhibition is a culmination of an exciting project. A group of sixth form students volunteered their time and skills, and have been working on a model of how the Barn structure may have looked in 1430 while learning about the history of the building.

The model, which was completed in May of this year, takes pride of place in the gallery room of the Barn. There will also be canvasses detailing different stages of the project and giving a better idea of the challenges that were overcome. You will also be able to read the full story of just how the model came together.

The model will be on display over the summer at Dronfield Hall Barn and we hope our twin town in Sindelfingen will host the model in the future.
